The need for an analogue sequencer.
Lately in the music shop they told me harware sequencers are nearly dead. The only ones left are software sequencers. Wanting a decent hardware sequencer for so long, it made me wondering why. Lot's of easy DIY solutions exist though, like the simple baby 10 or a more complex one. They are a bit clumsy compared to the monome which on the other hand is so exclusive and yet open source. The power of this beauty is not visible on the outside. You could not imagine a more basic sequencer interface.
A bit out of my league, so on the cheaper I end up looking to build arduinome.
